Nvidia 9600GT
The Nvidia 9600GT has been on the market for over a year now and since then, graphic card manufacturers around the world have come up with a number of tweaks to satisfy the market needs. This includes the latest 9600GT Low Power edition by Galaxy Microsystems that focuses on those of you who are looking to lower down their PC’s power consumption.
The Hong Kong-based company claims that the power saving feature on their new custom 9600GT is due to the absence of the usual on-board auxiliary 6-pin power connector. Less power doesn’t mean less performance though, as the shaders on this card still pack the 9600GT’s full 1625 MHz speed and 900 Mhz DDR3 memory although the graphic clock is running at a lower speed of 600 MHz.
To top everything off, the Galaxy 9600GT Low Power edition also comes with a cooler manufactured by the famed Cooler Master and three types of native video output sources: VGA, DVI and HDMI.
Unfortunately, no price and local release date were given at the time of writing. For more information, check out Galaxy’s official website. (http://www.galaxytech.com/)
